Local Connect is the business name for Attract, Connect, Stay - Glen Innes Incorporated. We are part of the Attract, Connect, Stay family delivering powerful place-based solutions to attract and retain workforce in rural communities.
Local Connect is funded through membership fees, donations, fundraising and grant funding.
The Welcome Experience is a free service supporting essential workers and their families who are considering moving or have made the move to the Glen Innes and Inverell communities.
Local Connect are delivering The Welcome Experience which is funded by NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
One of the challenges we are facing in Glen Innes and occasionally Inverell is the shortage of rental and short-term accommodation as we settle and connect new-to-area essential service workers into the community.
If you have any ideas on how we can unlock local private rentals, please reach out to us via info@localconnect.org
We’ve launched and embedded The Welcome Experience, and our community connectors are supporting not only healthcare professionals but all essential service workers.
Help us get the word out by following our facebook page and sharing our service to your network - you never know, this free-service could make all the difference to someone considering a job in our community.
As we develop our new service offering, we are seeking local businesses (across any industry sector) in Glen Innes and/or Inverell that need assistance with workforce development to attract, connect and retain new employees.
If you are a business or know of a business that would be happy to be a part of a pilot please contact our Executive Manager via margot@localconnect.org.
